113. The Downsides of Self-Care

In this episode, we explore some downsides of self-care. This knowledge is key because self-care is often marketed as a luxury, while distracting from our most basic needs. We'll talk more about the problems of hyper-focusing on ourselves, the external factors that defeat self-care, and the essential factor of community when it comes to self-care (ironic, but true!).

About Joy Lab: The Joy Lab Podcast offers science-backed strategies and soulful insights from Dr. Henry Emmons and Dr. Aimee Prasek to help you beat stress, ease anxiety, improve mood, and rediscover a deep sense of joy.
